The most talked about injury during the postseason was Kawhi Leonard's ankle sprain during the Western Conference finals. But that was far from the only injury the San Antonio Spurs endured. During their second-round series against the Houston Rockets, their veteran point guard, Tony Parker, went down with a ruptured quad tendon in Game 2.

Parker has since undergone successful surgery, but faces a lengthy rehab before he can return to the court. According to a recent interview, Parker is expecting that he'll be able to return in January. Via L'Equipe, translated by Eurohoops.net:

"I will play my best basketball when I return in January", Parker told L'Equipe. After his injury during the NBA playoffs, the player is on the road to recovery and already wants to give it all for next season.

"The first thing that came in when I got injured, was frustration. I was super good and we had the chance to go until the end and get the title," Parker said.

"The coach's plan worked like a clock. I was consistent, playing for twenty to twenty five minutes per game. My series against Memphis was good and I had a good start in the season," he added.

Parker, who just turned 35, has seen his minutes reduced, but is still an important cog in the Spurs machine, as he showed during his strong start to the postseason, when he put up 15.9 points and 3.1 assists per game.
