George Hill missed Game 2 between the Warriors and Jazz due to an injury to his toe. At the time, the Jazz said it was precautionary rest to try and get Hill in better shape for Game 3. However, it appears the injury has not healed enough for Hill to comfortably play through, forcing him to sit again.

This will not be the first time this injury has sidelined Hill, whose toe injury has been a lingering problem and nagging at him since the regular season. He's done his best to play through it, but during flare ups like this it's very difficult to be effective.

This is a huge blow to a Jazz team that can't really afford to give Golden State any advantages. They're down 2-0 in what has so far been a pretty noncompetitive series and Hill is arguably Utah's third-best player. In a game that could very well decide whether this series stays short, or goes longer, Hill will be forced to sit.

In Game 2, Shelvin Mack was Utah's primary point guard and didn't play particularly well. Raul Neto was okay in his limited minutes while Dante Exum was horrendous. It will be interesting to see if Quin Snyder sticks with giving Mack heavy minutes or tries giving Neto more run.
