After two seasons of sitting on the sideline, Joel Embiid made his NBA debut for the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. The Process, as he would like to be called, looked a little nervous at first, but didn't take long to show why he's such a special prospect.

A few minutes into his first stint, Embiid caught the ball on the perimeter and hit Oklahoma City Thunder forward Andre Roberson with a Dream shake above the free-throw line before swishing a turnaround jumper. The Philadelphia crowd erupted, and Embiid nodded his head furiously when he got back on defense. On the next possession, when Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook attacked the basket, Embiid came out of nowhere to swat his shot away.
