The first half of Game 1 of the Western Conference finals didn't exactly go as planned for the Warriors. The Spurs came out on fire, and had built a 20-point lead by halftime.

Looking for answers, the Warriors turned to a familiar face. Steve Kerr, who was at Oracle Arena, but not coaching the game, stepped in and delivered a halftime speech to his team.

"We gotta find that balance between pace and discipline, right? We're a little out of sorts," Kerr said. "We've been trying to push it and trying to push it, but now we're turning it over a little bit. I thought our defense was actually really good in the first quarter, but then, you know we turn it over, we give up some easy ones, so now we're playing from behind and then the second quarter we got out of sorts.

"So, get your poise back. Wings, run like crazy. And just just settle in on like three stops in a row -- let's get three stops in a row and the push will come from that. The pace will come from that. Settle in, and we'll be alright."

The Warriors surely appreciated seeing their leader, who hasn't coached the team since Game 2 of the first round due to health issues, back in the fold.
