  • Kyle Singler: Signs with Spanish club

Singler signed a contract with Obradoiro of the Spanish Liga ACB, EuroHoops.net reports.

Singler has spent the last six years in the NBA, with his most recent three coming as a member of the Thunder. During the 2017-18 campaign, specifically, Singler saw action in just 12 games, so he became expendable this offseason and was waived by Oklahoma City through the stretch provision. He'll now head to Spain to play for Obradoiro, where Singler will likely look to re-establish his value with the hopes of latching on with another NBA squad in the future.

  • Kyle Singler: Waived by Thunder

Singler has been waived by Oklahoma City through the stretch provision, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Singler was slated to make just under $5 million dollars in the fourth year of his extension, which was much too high for a player who saw the floor in just 12 total games last season. In addition, the Thunder were able to save $23.4 million in salary and luxury tax with the move, so it was a no brainer for the organization. The 6-foot-8 forward has shot 36.2 percent from three-point land for his career and could resurface elsewhere on a team looking for a floor spacer to provide relief off the bench. That said, he's unlikely to become a fantasy contributor no matter where he lands.

  • Thunder's Kyle Singler: Inactive Thursday

Singler is inactive for Thursday's season opener against the Knicks, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.

It appears coach Billy Donovan will look towards the likes of Alex Abrines and Jerami Grant to provide depth on the wing. The move isn't particularly surprising, however, as Singler posted just 2.8 points per game last year.

  • Thunder's Kyle Singler: Averages 23.8 minutes in preseason

Singler averaged 23.8 minutes over five games this preseason.

Singler saw a huge decrease in playing time last season, averaging 12 minutes over just 32 games. A major factor was his inefficient shooting, hitting just 18.9 percent of his three-pointers. The additions of Carmelo Anthony and Paul George shore up the Thunder at the wing, making it unlikely Singler sees an increased role this season.

  • Thunder's Kyle Singler: Doesn't impress in starting role

Singler started at small forward and scored a season-high 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with four rebounds across 28 minutes in a 100-98 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Singler picked up his first start of the season with Andre Roberson (rest) and Doug McDermott (knee) out, but did little to show that he'll be worthy of regular run in coach Billy Donovan's rotation when the playoffs arrive. The 4-of-12 shooting night dropped Singler to a woeful 40.3 percent mark from the field for the campaign, which actually marks an improvement over his last two seasons, when he shot under 40 percent on both occasions.

  • Thunder's Kyle Singler: Will start at small forward Tuesday

Singler will start at small forward Tuesday against the Timberwolves, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

The Thunder are opting to rest both Andre Roberson and Taj Gibson in the front end of a back-to-back set, allowing Singler and Domantas Sabonis to start at the two forward positions. It's the first start of the season for Singler, who has been out of the rotation for much of the season and likely wouldn't have received the nod if Doug McDermott (knee) wasn't unavailable. Nonetheless, with so many bodies sidelined, Singler should be able to push for a 30-minute role.
