2014 NFL Draft: Jaguars get B+ for picking Marqise Lee at No. 39
The Jaguars selected former USC wide receiver Marqise Lee with the seventh pick in the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday.
The Jaguars needed some wide receiver help and they went to the right place to get it. Jacksonville drafted former USC receiver Marqise Lee with the seventh pick of the second round (39th overall) on Friday, setting up a Blake Bortles-to-Lee connection that could terrorize the AFC South for years to come.

CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco gave the Bortles pick an A+ and he likes the Lee pick too.
This is a good pick for the Jags. Lee had first-round talent. Bortles has to be happy. GRADE: B+ http://t.co/KPxAyHqyNs— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) May 9, 2014
Lee is the sixth receiver taken in the first 39 picks of the draft, marking the first time since 2009 that at least six receivers were taken with the top-40 picks. In 2009, seven receivers were taken with the first 40 picks of the draft. .
The former USC receiver probably would have been a first-rounder if he had been allowed to enter the draft after his sophomore year in 2012 when he led the country in catches and won the Biletnikof Award as the nation's top receiver.
The knock on Lee in 2013 was his inability to stay healthy. The former Trojan receiver missed three games for USC last season and caught a career-low 57 passes. If Lee can stay healthy, he has the potential to put up big numbers in Jacksonville.
Lee represents the highest a USC receiver has gone in the NFL Draft since 2005 when Mike Williams went 10th overall to Detroit. He'll have one buddy in current Jags wideout Cecil Shorts.

Oh and former Jags center Brad Meester announced the pick, possibly donning the outfit of the night.
