Wide receiver Arrelious Benn injured his knee and cornerback E.J. Biggers injured his foot during Tampa Bay's first training camp practice on Friday, and both could miss the rest of camp.

"I'm not certain what it's going to be time-wise -- we'll have to play that by ear -- but it's not a short thing for both of them," coach Greg Schiano said on Saturday. "It's going to be more than two weeks and then we'll go from there. You never know. I ask for 'worst-case' and 'best-case' and usually it's somewhere in between."

The two injuries leave the Bucs thin at both positions. Schiano cut Dezmon Briscoe on Thursday for his absence during OTAs. Briscoe led the team with six touchdowns last year, but everyone was pushed down the depth chart when Vincent Jackson signed with the team in the offseason.

Benn will likely be battling Preston Parker as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Jackson and Mike Williams. Benn will be playing catch up; the Tampa Bay Times reported that Benn's injury is a knee sprain and he could be out for a month.

ESPN.com reported Friday that Biggers had a broken bone in his foot, although Schiano said on Saturday that neither Benn nor Biggers would require surgery.

Biggers entered camp as the No. 3 cornerback behind Aqib Talib and Eric Wright. After Biggers, the Bucs options at cornerback are limited. Anthony Gaitor and Myron Lewis are the next two in line. The Tampa secondary gave up 30 touchdowns last season, tied for third-worst in the league.
