CB Antoine Cason losing season to foot surgery

Free agent cornerback Antoine Cason is out for the year after undergoing surgery on his right foot, which he revealed in an Instagram post.

"Had surgery this morning to fix an ongoing problem," he wrote. "Due to the surgery I will miss the 2015 season. Tough decision but it was one that needed to be made and I am home and well!"

Cason was a full-time starter for Carolina last season before his release after allowing six touchdown passes. Oppoosing quarterbacks completed 56 of 70 passes against him for a 122.2 passer rating, per Pro Football Focus.
