Everyone has an opinion on the Redskins nickname. But a lot of times, in the case of Redskins players, they're not supposed to share it. DeAngelo Hall must not have gotten the memo.

Hall, who's becomes a free agent this offseason, said on Fox Sports' Keepin' It Real With Mike Hill show (via the D.C. Sports Bog) that the Redskins "eventually will" change the name.

“I think eventually they will change it,” Hall said.

And then when Hall was pressed about the subject, well, keeping it real went wrong.

"They probably should," Hall said. "But they won’t for a while at least."

Now, it's great that Hall is speaking his mind. It's also great that he sees the issues with the Redskins nickname.

But it's probably not so great in the sense that Hall is an impending free agent and has expressed interest in returning to the Redskins. They know he's not afraid to run his mouth. But given how quiet Dan Snyder wants his players to be on this particular subject, it's hard to imagine that he's thrilled with Hall's comments.
