Joe Andruzzi played 10 NFL seasons for the Packers, Patriots and Browns, his last game coming in 2006. On Monday, he was among the first responders to the tragedy at the Boston Marathon where two bombs exploded near the finish line killing at least three people and injuring more than 125.

This isn't the first time the Andruzzis have gone into harms way to help others. Joe Andruzzi has three brothers, all New York City firefighters, all responders during 9/11.
