Mike Shanahan: If no setbacks, RG3 should be ready to go

Roughly 24 hours after Mike Shanahan told reporters that barring a setback, rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III would start against the Eagles in the Redskins' biggest game of the season, the Washington coach echoed that sentiment following practice Thursday.
“If there’s no setbacks, he should be ready to go,” Shanahan said of Griffin, according to the Washington Post's Mark Maske.
On Wednesday, Griffin, who suffered a sprained knee in a Week 14 overtime win against the Ravens, was still miffed that he was on the sideline for last Sunday's game in Cleveland.
“I always expect to play,” he said, via the Post. “They’re going to keep playing it by sight, come out, watch me and then figure out what they think the best progression is from here. ... I’m ready to play whenever they want me to play. So, if it’s this week, next week, couple weeks -- whatever they say goes. I’ll be ready."
Now that Griffin has practiced two straight days, he appears set to resume his starting duties.
If for some reason RG3 can't go in Philly, the other rookie quarterback, fourth-round pick Kirk Cousins, has proven more than capable. Even if he was recently traumatized in a wig-trimming incident gone horribly wrong.
