Raiders Cuts: Injured knees put OLB Aaron Curry on PUP list

OLB Aaron Curry is placed on the PUP list and Roscoe Parrish among the cuts the Raiders made to get their roster to 53.

The Raiders placed OLB Aaron Curry (knees) on the PUP list and made 21 other moves as they trimmed their roster from 75 to the final 53 by the 6 p.m. PDT deadline. Curry will have to wait the first six weeks of the season before being eligible to return. He’ll be eligible to practice Oct. 16.

Notable cuts: PR Roscoe Parrish (8^th year, Miami) -- Parrish, who spent seven productive seasons with Buffalo, signed with the Raiders this week after being cut by San Diego, but he fumbled his chance to make the team Saturday night at Seattle. LB Nathan Stupar (rookie, 7^th round, Penn State) -- Stupar made a team-high 11 tackles and a sack against the Seahawks, but that didn’t keep him from becoming the only draft pick waived.
