The Raiders filled their eight-man practice squad Sunday, signing CB Chimdi Chekwa, C Colin Miller, RB Jeremy Stewart and DT Vaughn Meatoga.

Chekwa spent last season with the Raiders after being drafted in the fourth round out of Ohio State, and he made the initial 53-man roster this year. But on Saturday, he was one of three players cut to open roster spots for three players the Raiders claimed off waivers.

Miller, a first-year pro out of Central Michigan, made it to the final cut but was waived Friday.

Stewart and Meatoga are the only players on the Raiders’ practice squad who didn’t spend time in Oakland’s training camp. Stewart, an undrafted rookie from Stanford, was cut first by the Eagles and then by the Jets. Meatoga, an undrafted rookie from Cincinnati, was cut by the Bengals.

On Saturday, the Raiders signed four rookies they had cut the day before to their practice squad: LB Nathan Stupar, a seventh-round draft pick from Penn State, LB Kaelin Burnett (Nevada), WR Brandon Carswell (USC) and WR Tray Session (Nevada).
