The persistent leg injuries that have plagued wide receiver Danario Alexander led to him being waived Monday among 14 Rams roster cuts.

There were no surprises. The Rams gave Alexander, a fan favorite who starred at Missouri, an injury settlement. They also put defensive tackle Trevor Laws on injured reserve with a patellar tendon injury.

Notable cuts: WR Danario Alexander (3rd year, Missouri) -- Alexander caught a 38-yard TD in his NFL debut and averaged 16 yards on 46 catches in two seasons. But he's had five surgeries on his left knee since college, and a hamstring injury kept him from playing any preseason games this year. In his Rams career, he played in 18 games, starting seven. TE Brody Eldridge (3rd year, Oklahoma) -- An excellent blocker, Eldridge was given a four-game PED suspension in July. He could hook on with another team after that. Meanwhile, the Rams are going with Matthew Mulligan as their blocking tight end.
