The Rams hosted a pair of defensive players on Thursday.

According to ESPN.com, former Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley and former Titans and Patriots linebacker Akeem Ayers met with the Rams. The Rams could use the depth along the interior defensive line with the organization cutting Kendall Langford in a salary cap move.

In four seasons with the Lions, Fairley totaled 98 tackles and 13.5 sacks.

Ayers has been linked to the Rams for a while. Traded to the Patriots from the Titans mid-season, Ayers recorded 20 tackles, four sacks and one interception in New England.
