A year ago, the Redskins enjoyed a 3-1 start before the wheels fell off. And while it's too early to declare the 2012 season officially over, the news coming from Sunday's demoralizing loss to the Rams continues to get worse. It was bad enough that Josh Morgan temporarily lost his mind on Washington's final drive, but now the Redskins will be without two of their best defensive players for the rest of 2012.

Linebacker Brian Orakpo suffered a pectoral injury and is done for the year. After the game he said that “It just ripped on me, man. Same injury as before. It’s just frustrating, man." Turns out, it wasn't the same injury.

Meanwhile, defensive end Adam Carriker, who left the Rams game with a right thigh injury, is also done for the  year.

Rob Jackson and Chris Wilson will get the chance to take over for Orakpo, and Doug Worthington and Chris Baker will be given opportunities to replace Carriker.
