Washington Redskins Running back Tim Hightower will play Saturday vs. Indianapolis, his first appearance since tearing his ACL last October. But yet another running back has an injury issue as Evan Royster won’t play. He’ll join Roy Helu on the sidelines Saturday.

An MRI on Royster’s right knee Wednesday was negative, but the knee remains sore. Royster isn’t sure how long he’ll be sidelined, saying doctors told him he only needed rest.

“I had trouble standing up it hurt so much. I was like, what’s going on?” he said.

But as Royster exits, Hightower enters.

“It’s huge man,” Hightower said. “I don’t even know what to say. I’m sure it will hit me Saturday when I get on the field, all the nerves and all that stuff. It’s a blessing. I’ve been working for this a long time so this is a huge step for me.”

Hightower said he’s thought often about what it will feel like to play in his first game since his injury.

“This is as big a game as I’m going to have. It’s special,” Hightower said. “You try to anticipate what that first carry will be like. I think I’ve replayed it in my head a million times. I’m excited to see how it turns out.”
