The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Giants and Rams wide receiver Steve Smith to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports. Smith will be reunited with former Giants assistant Mike Sullivan in Tampa.

After a few wildly successful seasons in New York, Smith signed with the Eagles in 2011 and the Rams a year later. He was never able to replicate his success with the Giants, catching just 25 passes for 255 yards and a score in two seasons.

But Smith, 27, showed his massive potential during his first four seasons in the league. He was named to the 2009 Pro Bowl after catching a franchise record 107 passes in New York.

Smith was also a member of the '08 Giants squad that won Super Bowl XLII. He had five catches for 50 yards in the game.

The Bucs are thin at wide receiver behind Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams, so Smith will be relied upon to add some depth and experience.
