Sometimes a picture tells the whole story, and then some. That's certainly the case here, with this collection of jerseys for the quarterbacks that have started a game for Washington in recent memory. There have been 16 different starting quarterbacks since Daniel Snyder bought the team in 1999.

Let's not talk about why this person has two Kirk Cousins jerseys (and two Jason Campbell jerseys and two RG3 jerseys) and instead focus on the sheer volume of quarterbacks Washington has cycled through. To put it another way, here's a T-shirt listing (almost) every quarterback Washington has had since Mark Rypien won Super Bowl XXVI.

The full list is just as sad as you think: Cary Conklin, Rich Gannon, Heath Shuler, Gus Frerotte, Jeff Hostetler, Trent Green, Brad Johnson, Jeff George, Tony Banks, Shane Matthews, Danny Wuerffel, Patrick Ramsey, Tim Hasselbeck, Mark Brunell, Jason Campbell, Kerry Collins, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, John Beck, Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy.

There are a few names excluded for some reason, like John Friesz, Rodney Peete and Ken Graham, but still: this is the saddest thing since that depressing Browns quarterback jersey.

The saddest jersey collection ever. (Twitter)
