Jack Crawford: Announces retirement
Crawford (undisclosed) announced his retirement Tuesday, per his personal Twitter account.
Crawford spent the 2020 campaign with the Titans and played in all 16 games, registering 28 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble, but he didn't suit up for the Cardinals in 2021 due to an undisclosed injury. The 10-year veteran ends his NFL career with 164 tackles, 18 sacks, three forced fumbles and one interception.

Crawford spent the 2020 campaign with the Titans and played in all 16 games, registering 28 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. The nine-year veteran was in place for a sizeable workload behind J.J. Watt, but now that opportunity shifts to Zach Allen, Michael Dogbe and Josh Mauro as they compete for the backup role.

Cardinals' Jack Crawford: Heading to Cardinals
Crawford signed a contract with Cardinals on Tuesday.
Crawford spent last season in Tennessee, where he recorded 28 tackles (20 solo), two sacks and a forced fumble across 16 games. Prior to his stint with the Titans, the veteran linebacker spent time with the Raiders, Cowboys and Falcons. In Arizona, he'll most likely look to compete for a reserve role on the team.

Crawford recorded a season-high seven tackles, playing a significant role in the Titans' effort to stop the rushing attack. He also recorded a key forced fumble, stripping Baker Mayfield late in the fourth quarter to extend Tennessee's chance to earn a win. Crawford remains a part-time player along the defensive line and has recorded more than two tackles in only one other contest this season.

Titans' Jack Crawford: Activated off COVID list
Crawford (illness) has been activated off the COVID-19/reserve list, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Crawford returns to the active roster after logging two weeks on the COVID-19 list. The veteran will now be able to join his new teammates on the field after signing with the Titans earlier this offseason. Crawford has spent time with the Raiders, Cowboys and Falcons since entering the league in 2012, recording 132 tackles and 16 sacks across 93 games in the process.

Crawford collected 24 tackles, three pass deflections, four QB hits and half a sack across 16 appearances for the Falcons during 2019.
2018 was a breakout campaign for the London-born defensive tackle, with Crawford racking up career highs in tackles (35), QB hits (nine) and sacks (six). Involvement this season diminished, as he logged only four starts after picking up 11 during 2018, and played 50-plus percent of the Falcons' defensive snaps just four times after fielding 60-plus percent of the snaps 11 times last year. Following three seasons as a member of the team, the 31-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent once his contract expires in March.

Falcons' Jack Crawford: Expected to play Sunday

After Crawford collected a career-best six sacks and 35 tackles in 2018, the arrow was pointing up on his career, and the team entered 2019 with optimism about his ability to contribute to a stingy defensive operation. The season so far has not gone according to plan, however, as Crawford remains without a sack heading into Week 16. He has been a steady contributor throughout the season by fielding at least 20 percent of the defensive snaps in every contest, but Crawford has now gone eight games without recording a start, after starting four times between Weeks 1 and 6. If able to fully recover from his injury in short order, Crawford could see an uptick in involvement over the final two weeks with Takkarist McKinley (shoulder) now on injured reserve.

Crawford rebounded impressively from a torn bicep that cost him 12 games in 2017, establishing himself as a stalwart along the Falcons defensive line and producing like one of the premier players at his position. There were only 11 defensive tackles who compiled more sacks than Crawford did this season, and most of those players are considered to be of Pro-Bowl caliber. Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, Geno Atkins and Akiem Hicks are among the select list of defensive tackles who eclipsed Crawford's sack tally this year. The 30-year-old remains on Atlanta's payroll for 2019, as he and second-year man Deadrin Senat strive to help the Falcons improve upon a 25th-place finish in rush defense.

Crawford was able to snag the first interception of his career and put an end to a scoring threat as the Panthers were inside the five-yard line. The veteran defensive tackle has 34 tackles (19 solo), six sacks and a forced fumble through 15 games.

Falcons' Jack Crawford: Tackle for loss against Packers
Crawford recorded three total tackles, including one tackle for loss during Sunday's 34-20 loss to Green Bay.
With another solid showing in Week 14, the veteran defensive lineman now has 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack over Atlanta's past three games. Against the Packers, Crawford stuffed Jamaal Williams for a loss of two yards on his second carry of the afternoon, and later helped contain the explosive Aaron Jones to a one-yard gain on an early third-quarter run. Crawford may be afforded limited opportunities defending the run Sunday against an Arizona offense that's called 291 running plays this season (seventh-fewest). He will, however, carry a fair probability of recording a sack, facing a Cardinals line that's allowed 84 QB hits in 2018 (10th-most).

The 290-pound defensive tackle is in the midst of a stellar season, already having tied career-highs in sacks (four) and quarterback hits (six) with nearly half of the regular-season slate remaining. The Falcons were held without a sack in Week 10, but the outing prior Crawford claimed two of Atlanta's three sacks against Washington. Now comes a matchup with "America's Team." Crawford has spent more time in Dallas than any other city during his seven-year career, with 38 of 70 appearances and 12 of 16 starts coming in a Cowboys uniform. Sunday he'll have a chance to feast against his former team, facing an offensive line that's allowed the third-most sacks in 2018.

The London-born mammoth has four sacks over his past three outings in wins over the Redskins, Giants and Buccaneers.
