  • Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Tennessee adds Round 7 pass rusher

The Titans selected Harrell in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 252nd overall. Harrell is a fringe prospect for a reason -- namely, he's unrefined as a pass rusher and doesn't have much variety of moves to work around blockers -- but as far as seventh-round picks go, he can't be a bad value. Harrell was a prominent contributor on Michigan's National Championship-winning defense, and at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, he boasts a 40-yard dash time around the 4.70-second range. Those are good enough athletic tools for the NFL, so it's just on Harrell to develop his skill set a bit more to become more consistently disruptive.

  • Titans' James Williams: Round 7 pick for Tennessee

The Titans selected Williams in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 242nd overall. Williams played a hybrid defensive role with Miami and is considered a combo between a safety and linebacker. He lacks technical soundness but is an explosive athlete and should have no problem covering tight ends or running backs in the NFL. If Williams can add discipline to his game, he has the potential to be an impact selection late in the draft.

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Lands with Tennessee

The Titans selected Brownlee in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 146th overall. The Titans have had a poor secondary for the last few seasons, but they've aggressively addressed the issue this offseason by adding L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie. Brownlee will help the team get a bit younger at the position after completing an impressive collegiate career split between Florida State and Louisville, during which he picked off a total of six passes in four campaigns. He is known as a physical and aggressive corner, but he'll need to find some balance in his game to avoid costly mistakes as a pro.

  • Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Tennessee picks up in second round

The Titans selected Sweat in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 38th overall. Sweat was generally expected to go later than this, especially after a DWI arrest earlier in April, but the Texas defensive tackle is probably talented enough to justify the selection. At 6-foot-5, 366 pounds, Sweat is the type of enormous prospect that only shows up every five years or so, and at that size, he will always be more of a gap-holding presence than one that splits them for tackles in the backfield. With that said, Sweat seems unusually nimble and flexible for such a gigantic lineman, and he should be the kind of player who shows up on tape even if he's not the defender specifically making the tackle.

  • Chargers' Kristian Fulton: Inks one-year deal with Bolts

Fulton (hamstring) agreed to terms Friday on a one-year contract with Los Angeles, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Fulton ended the 2023 season on IR due to a quadriceps injury, but he's presumably fully healthy and ready to get up to speed with the Chargers' defensive scheme as soon as offseason workouts begin. The 25-year-old could be an option to start across from Asante Samuel at cornerback for Los Angeles, but the team will likely be most comfortable with Fulton in a depth role after making further additions to the secondary via either free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • Seahawks' K'Von Wallace: Finds new home

Wallace is signing a one-year contract with the Seahawks on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Wallace split last season between the Cardinals and Titans, playing a total of 17 games. He set career highs across the board in 2023 with 89 tackles and six passes defended, including his first career interception, but he may not see as big a workload on defense in a Seattle secondary that already features Julian Love and Rayshawn Jenkins at safety.

  • Titans' Jack Gibbens: Tendered by Titans

Gibbens (back) has been tendered by the Titans, Ben Arthur of Fox Sports reports. Gibbens was an exclusive rights free agent, so the Titans retain his rights for the 2024 season with this move. The 25-year-old linebacker started all but one of the 14 games in which he appeared last season, racking up 95 tackles (55 solo) and three passes defensed before being placed on injured reserve due to a back injury.

  • Titans' Kenneth Murray: Taking talents to Tennessee

Murray (shoulder) has agreed to a two-year, $18 million contract with the Titans, ESPN.com reports. Murray missed the final two games of his Chargers tenure due to a shoulder injury, but he's expected to be recovered by the time Tennessee begins organized team activities. Prior to getting hurt, Murray posted 107 tackles in 2023, tying the career high he set as a rookie in 2020 after being drafted 23rd overall that year.

  • Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Signing with Houston

Al-Shaair is in line to sign a three-year, $34 million deal with the Texans on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Networkreports. The linebacker finished with a career-high 163 tackles on a one-year contract with the Titans in 2023. Al-Shaair also recorded 102 tackles with the 49ers in 2021.

  • Texans' Denico Autry: Inks deal with Texans

Autry agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract with the Texans on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Autry started his career with the Raiders before spending three seasons with the Colts followed by three with the Titans. He continues his journey across the AFC South in Houston, where he projects to compete for edge reps opposite Will Anderson. The 33-year-old tallied a career-high 11.5 sacks in Tennessee during the 2023 campaign.

  • Cardinals' Sean Murphy-Bunting: Moving west

Murphy-Bunting is slated to sign with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. After four years in Tampa Bay, Murphy-Bunting spent 2023 in Tennessee, where he appeared in 14 games and recorded 57 tackles (42 solo), eight passes defended (including two interceptions) and two forced fumbles. He'll be expected to help bolster a secondary that gave up a 102.9 quarterback rating last season, which was second-worst in the league. He'll likely be starting opposite cornerback Garrett Williams, who was selected in the third round of the 2023 Draft.

  • Titans' Terrell Edmunds: Role slips in 2023

Edmunds recorded 48 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed (one interception) and one forced fumble across 16 regular-season games with the Eagles and Titans in 2023. Edmunds began the season in a starting role with the Eagles, but he had an inconsistent role prior to being dealt to Tennessee following Week 7. The same inconsistent opportunity followed him in Tennessee, and the result was that Edmunds tallied career lows in defensive snaps (451) and total tackles. He did contribute plenty on special teams, which should help him find a new contract around the league, but he's likely to be penciled into a depth role to begin the 2024 campaign.

  • Titans' K'Von Wallace: Role expands in 2023

Wallace recorded 89 total tackles and six passes defensed, including one interception, across 17 regular-season games with the Titans and Cardinals in 2023. Wallace spent the first three years of his career with the Eagles, but he failed to make the roster out of training camp. Thereafter, he joined the Cardinals only to be waived again two months into the season. Even though he bounced around several rosters, Wallace still managed to rack up career-high marks in defensive snaps, tackles and passes defensed while also picking off the first pass of his career. Heading into his age-27 season, Wallace may land a deal as a starter this offseason with the chance to build off his stats from 2023.

  • Titans' Sean Murphy-Bunting: Big role in Tennessee

Murphy-Bunting recorded 57 total tackles, eight passes defended (including two interceptions) and two forced fumbles across 14 regular-season games with the Titans in 2023. Murphy-Bunting joined the Titans on a one-year deal before the 2023 season, and he topped 800 defensive snaps for the second time in his five-year career. He also logged a career high in tackles and matched his career high in passes defended, setting him up well to enter the free-agent market once again this offseason.

  • Titans' Elijah Molden: Rebounds for strong season

Molden recorded 73 total tackles with four passes defended, including an interception, and a forced fumble across 15 regular-season games with the Titans in 2023. Molden had his 2022 season derailed by a groin injury, but he rebounded with the highest tackle total of his three-year career in 2023. He also tallied the second pick-six of his career in Week 15. As the Titans' roster is currently constructed, Molden should be projected to start at strong safety for the Titans in 2024, the final year of his rookie contract.

  • Titans' Roger McCreary: Another strong season

McCreary recorded 86 total tackles (62 solo), two sacks, six passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble across 15 games with the Titans in 2023. McCreary missed a pair of games in the middle of the season due to a hamstring injury, but he otherwise turned in a solid sophomore season. He set a new career-high in tackles and was consistent in coverage, a rare bright spot in Tennessee's secondary. McCreary will be entering his third NFL season in 2024 and should continue to be a key to the Titans' defense once again.

  • Titans' Denico Autry: Career-high 11.5 sacks

Autry recorded 50 tackles (30 solo), 11.5 sacks, four passes defensed and two forced fumbles across 17 games with the Titans in 2023. Autry has been a key pass rusher for the Titans since joining the team in 2021. He reached new heights in 2023, however, logging career-high marks in tackles, sacks and snaps played. Autry is set to hit free agency and could be in for one final payday as he enters his age-34 season in 2024.

  • Titans' Harold Landry: Remains pass-rushing force

Landry recorded 69 total tackles (45 solo) and 10.5 sacks across 17 games with the Titans in 2023. Landry saw his snap total drop for the third consecutive season, but that didn't change his ability to get after the quarterback. He reached double-digit sacks for the second consecutive campaign, highlighted by two- and three-sack efforts in Weeks 8 and 14, respectively. Landry remains under contract with the team through 2026, though the Titans may look to get out of the remaining $35 million on his contract by taking on roughly $19.6 million in dead cap across the next two years by cutting him this offseason.

  • Titans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Strong season in Tennessee

Al-Shaair recorded 163 total tackles (84 solo), two sacks, four passes defended and one fumble recovered across 17 games with the Titans in 2023. Al-Shaair joined the Titans on a one-year deal before the 2023 season and showed the ability to handle a full defensive workload. He was on the field for a career-best 1,048 snaps and topped 100 tackles for the second time in five professional seasons. Al-Shaair will be entering his age-26 campaign, and even at a position that has been devalued in the modern NFL, he should be able to land a relatively significant contract.

  • Titans' Caleb Murphy: Out Sunday

Murphy (shoulder) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. The 24-year-old was listed as questionable for Sunday's affair after a week of limited practice sessions, but it seems as if his shoulder issue will stop him from suiting up in Week 18. Expect Rashad Weaver to see increased snaps as a rotational outside linebacker in Murphy's stead.
