  • Colts' Roger Lewis: Lands in Indianapolis

Lewis signed a contract with the Colts on Tuesday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

Lewis spent the 2018 campaign on Tennessee's practice squad before parting ways with the team in May. The 25-year-old has not suited up for an NFL game since 2017, when he logged 36 catches for 416 yards and two scores as a member of the Giants.

  • Roger Lewis: Let go by Titans

Lewis was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Lewis spent last season with the Titans' practice squad before signing a reserve/future contract with the team in late 2018. He likely would have been considered a long shot to make the final roster heading into training camp.

  • Titans' Roger Lewis: Remains with Titans

Lewis signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans on Monday.

Lewis was let go by the Giants at roster cutdowns and was on Tennessee's practice squad since early October. The 25-year-old had 36 receptions for 416 yards and two touchdowns with New York in 2017, and he'll head into the offseason hoping to make a case for a chance with the Titans in training camp next summer.

  • Roger Lewis: Signs to Titans' practice squad

Lewis is signing a practice squad deal with the Titans, Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.

Lewis spent his first two NFL seasons with the Giants and has experience both on offense and special teams. He could wind up promoted or signed to an active roster down the road, but he will remain on the practice squad for the time being.

  • Roger Lewis: Hitting the road

The Giant are cutting Lewis on Saturday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Lewis took on a significant workload last season within a banged-up Giants receiving corps, totaling 36 catches for 416 yards and two touchdowns. That said, he posted a miserable 5.8 YPT, and seemingly was unable to impress the new coaching staff during the offseason program or preseason slate. He'll look to latch on elsewhere as a depth wideout.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Shines with backups

Lewis (ankle) made some big plays with the second-team offense during minicamp, John Schmeelk of the Giants' official website reports.

Lewis has recovered from the ankle injury that dogged him last season, but he apparently was working with backup quarterback Davis Webb this spring, while Sterling Shepard, Cody Latimer and Hunter Sharp earned most of the snaps with Eli Manning. The Giants are expected to look at a number of different players in the No. 3 receiver role once Odell Beckham (ankle) returns for training camp, with Lewis likely battling Latimer, Sharp, Russell Shepard and Travis Rudolph. The division of snaps at minicamp suggests Lewis' status as the incumbent may not be all that important.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Present for passing camp

Lewis (ankle) is participating in Eli Manning's annual passing camp at Duke University, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

It's a sign that Lewis didn't have any major setbacks in his rehab from Jan. 2 surgery to remove bone spurs from his ankle. He estimated he'd need two months to recover, potentially allowing him to participate in the Giants' offseason program without limitations. The 24-year-old wideout took on a larger-than-expected role last season, making eight starts in 15 games as part of an injury-riddled receiving corps. However, he didn't make much of a case for continued involvement in the future, averaging only 11.6 yards per catch and 5.8 per target, with 36 receptions and two touchdowns on 72 targets. There won't be much use trying to project Lewis' role for the upcoming season until there's clarity regarding the Giants' plans for Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Odell Beckham (ankle). The latter is a potential holdout and the former a potential cap casualty, with both looking to bounce back from major injuries suffered in October.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Uncertain for OTAs

Lewis (ankle) may not be full-go for the start of offseason workouts in April, Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media reports.

Lewis underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle Jan. 2 and said the recovery time from the procedure "should be about two months." Thus, there at least seems to be a chance the receiver can participate in OTAs. Either way, there isn't any concern over his availability for training camp.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Active but doesn't play

Lewis (ankle bone spurs) was active Sunday against the Redskins, but never saw the field. He's having surgery to repair the injury Tuesday, Newsday reports.

Lewis was set for a big role had he been able to get on the field as the Giants were thin at receiver, but they opted to hold him out. Lewis' role with the team is unclear heading into 2018 with Odell Beckham set to return and Sterling Shepard guaranteed a prominent role.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Ready for big workload

Lewis (ankle) doesn't have a designation on the final injury report for Sunday's game against the Redskins.

Coming off three straight games with at least four catches and 10 targets, Lewis was a limited participant at every practice this week. While he could be headed for another hefty workload with Sterling Shepard (neck), Tavarres King (concussion) and Evan Engram (ribs) all ruled out, Lewis has been inefficient with his opportunities (5.8 yards per target) and will now have to face a Washington defense that's surrendered the 11th fewest yards (137 per game) and fourth fewest catches (9.5 per) to wide receivers this season. Keenan Allen, Adam Thielen and Doug Baldwin -- all of whom often work from the slot -- are the only wideouts that have reached 100 yards against the Redskins this year. Lewis figures to play the vast majority of his snaps outside, with Travis Rudolph likely handling most of the slot work.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Limited practice Wednesday

Lewis was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

Lewis has been the beneficiary of a pass-happy Giants offense since Eli Manning regained the reins of the offense Week 14. Over the past three games, Manning has racked up a whopping 148 passes, 32 of which have gone in the direction of Lewis. Among the injured pass catchers on the injury report Wednesday, Manning's top two options, Evan Engram (rib) and Sterling Shepard (neck), didn't practice. Assuming Lewis gets clearance ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. EST kickoff, he would likely be an even bigger part of the offense if Engram and/or Lewis take a seat.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Sees 10 targets

Lewis caught four of 10 passes for 74 yards during Sunday's 34-29 loss against the Eagles.

Eli Manning had a huge day, and all of the team's main receivers were heavily involved including Lewis, though his production was modest given the volume. With fellow wideout Tavarres King suffering a concussion, Lewis could again see significant targets in Arizona in Week 16.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Playing Sunday

Lewis (ankle) is listed as active Sunday versus the Eagles.

With one limited practice under his belt this week, Lewis proved his health enough to suit up for this NFC East matchup. Earlier this season, he was targeted just one time against the Eagles, but the injury-riddled nature of the Giants' receiving corps has yielded 5.4 targets per game for Lewis over the last seven contests.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Questionable for Week 15

Lewis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Lewis set season-high marks for catches (seven) and targets (11) in a Week 14 loss to the Cowboys, but he only had 46 yards and came out of the game with an ankle injury. His failure to practice Wednesday and Thursday suggests he's in real danger of missing Sunday's game, with an absence leaving more opportunities for some combination of Tavarres King, Travis Rudolph (hamstring), Kalif Raymond and Hunter Sharp. Rudolph also is listed as questionable, while No. 1 wideout Sterling Shepard (hamstring) has been cleared to play.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Sits out practice Thursday

    Lewis (ankle) didn't practice Thursday.

Lewis' second straight absence from practice wouldn't seem to portend well for his status for Sunday's game against the Eagles, but even in times of better health, the wideout's fantasy value has been minimal, at best. Since Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall went down with season-ending ankle injuries in Week 5, Lewis has only managed 20 receptions for 200 yards and a touchdown across eight games in the expanded role.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Misses practice Wednesday

Lewis (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports.

With the Giants electing to make Tavarres King inactive in a coach's decision in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, Lewis gained a little more primacy in the team's passing attack, drawing a season-high 11 targets in the contest. Despite the ample attention from quarterback Eli Manning, Lewis only delivered seven catches for 46 yards, and apparently picked up the ankle injury along the way. If Lewis is able to return to practice in some capacity the next two days, he'll likely receive clearance to play Week 15 against the Eagles, but his fantasy upside will be limited even if he retains a starting role.

  • Giants' Roger Lewis: Sees 11 targets

Lewis caught seven of 11 targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cowboys.

Talk about dink and dunk. That Lewis saw so much work is something, but Sterling Shepard (three targets) is likely be the No. 1 receiver going forward.
