Chandler was released by the Jets on Saturday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Worthy was previously fifth on the depth chart for wide receiver, so he held legitimate hopes for securing a spot on the final roster. The team has opted to go in another direction, however. The 22-year-old recorded just two catches for 29 yards during the preseason.
