Moore was claimed off of waivers by Indy prior to Week 1 and spent the season with the team. He was primarily a special teams contributor. It looks like he will be in search of a new landing spot once free agency officially commences.

Colts' Corey Moore: Claimed by Indianapolis
Moore was claimed off waivers by the Colts, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Moore was the odd man out in the Texans' loaded group of safeties, but he should be welcomed on a Colts team that is still looking for answers in the secondary. Moore appeared in 30 games for Houston over the last two seasons, recording 59 tackles and four pass breakups along the way.

Corey Moore: Cut by Houston
Moore was released by the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Moore had previously been a starter for the Texans, but he lost ground on the depth chart and got squeezed out of a roster spot. The Texans signed free agent Tyrann Mathieu and drafted Justin Reid before also moving Kareem Jackson from cornerback to safety, with the flurry of moves making Moore superfluous.

Texans' Corey Moore: Participating at practice
Moore (knee) is participating at Texans' practice this week.
Moore landed on injured reserve in December with a Grade 2 MCL sprain and had yet to recover from the injury in late June. However, he appears fully healthy with training camp now underway. The 25-year-old should be competing for a role as a depth safety and special teams contributor, given the Texans' addition of Tyrann Mathieu in the offseason.

Texans' Corey Moore: Re-signs with Houston
The Texans re-signed Moore (knee), an exclusive-rights free agent, to a one-year, $630,000 contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Moore appeared in 14 games and made three starts for the Texans last season, finishing with 27 tackles and a pass breakup. The reserve safety was shut down ahead of Week 17 with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, but should be back to full strength for the Texans' offseason program.

Moore was looking at a multiweek recovery timeline after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Monday's 34-6 loss to the Steelers, so the Texans decided to shut him down in order to open up a roster spot ahead of the regular-season finale against the Colts. The team signed quarterback Josh Johnson in a corresponding move to offer additional depth under center. Primarily a special-teams contributor for the Texans, Moore finishes his third NFL season with 27 tackles (20 solo) and one pass breakup across 14 games.

Moore (knee) was diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL sprain after exiting Monday's 34-6 loss to the Steelers, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It's unlikely that Moore will recover from the injury in time to suit up for the season finale Dec. 31 against the Colts. If that proves to be the case, the third-year safety will finish the 2017 campaign with 27 tackles and one pass breakup across 14 appearances.
