Bears' Nate Davis: Leaves with injury
Davis has exited Sunday's game against the Packers with a foot injury. Davis' absence will be a blow to the Bears' offensive line and leave a hole at right guard. Cody Whitehair is the likeliest candidate to step in for the Charlotte product.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: Won't play vs. Panthers
Davis (ankle) is listed as out for Thursday's game versus Carolina. Davis will miss his fourth straight game in Week 10 as he continues to tend to a high ankle sprain he sustained in Week 6 versus Minnesota. Teven Jenkins, Cody Whitehair and Lucas Patrick project to continue to man the interior of Chicago's offensive line in Davis' absence.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: Won't play Sunday
Davis (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. Davis was held out of practice all week after suffering an ankle sprain during Chicago's Week 6 loss to the Vikings, so it's no surprise that he's not suiting up Sunday. Teven Jenkins could kick over from left guard to start at right guard in Davis' stead.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: X-ray comes back negative
An X-ray on Davis' right ankle Sunday came back negative, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Davis had to be carted to the locker room after hurting his ankle in the first quarter Sunday against Minnesota, so the negative X-ray is at least a positive sign. Bears coach Matt Eberflus indicated after the contest that the team should receive more info on the guard's injury Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: Will not start
Davis (personal) will not start Sunday against the Chiefs, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Davis is active but the fourth-year pro will only be available as a backup. Ja'Tyre Carter should get the start at right guard in his place.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: Ready for Week 3
Davis (personal) did not appear on the Bears' injury report Wednesday. Davis appears to be back with the team after missing Sunday's 27-17 loss to Tampa Bay due to personal reasons. Bears' Nate Davis: Back at practice Wednesday
Davis (ankle) participated in practice Wednesday at OTAs, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports. Davis ended the 2022 campaign on injured reserve due to an ankle injury, but that didn't prevent him from landing a three-year, $30 million deal with the Bears in free agency. He was still rehabbing to begin OTAs, but his return to practice Wednesday suggests he shouldn't have any limitations heading into training camp. Davis is slated to be the Bears' starting right guard in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nate Davis: Lands with Bears on three-year deal
The Bears and Davis (ankle) agreed to terms on a three-year, $30 million contract Monday, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. A third-round pick in 2019, Davis started 54 games for the Titans in four years with the team. A strong run blocker, Davis is a perfect fit in Chicago, where the Bears employ a run-heavy scheme. He was one of the premier guards available in free agency, so this is a great get for GM Ryan Poles.... See More ... See Less
