Thompson sustained the knee injury during a punt return. Krammer notes that Thompson was seen on the sidelines but has yet to return to the game. He did not record a stat before exiting Sunday's game.

Vikings' NaJee Thompson: Lands in concussion protocol

Thompson was placed in concussion protocol following Saturday's preseason game against the Titans, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Coach Kevin O'Connell said Wednesday that Thompson will remain in concussion protocol, but it's unclear when exactly he suffered the head injury. However, it presumably happened during the preseason Week 2 loss. Thompson played four special-teams snaps and recorded one tackle during the matchup against Tennessee.
