Lauvao will require season-ending surgery to address his torn ACL, and is expected to be placed on injured reserve. With fellow guard Brandon Scherff (pectoral) also having suffered a season-ending injury during the Week 9 contest, the Redskins will to address the absence of both starting linemen. Casey Dunn is expected to enter the starting lineup at either guard position.

Lauvao exited Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Falcons due to a knee injury of undisclosed severity. The starting left guard will receive an MRI on Monday, so expect an update on the severity of Lauvao's injury early next week.

Lauvao has been limited the last few weeks due to a stinger injury, which forced him to miss the Redskins' Week 9 game against the Seahawks. With Lauvao's condition failing to show much improvement, the Redskins opted to shut him down, making him the 15th player on the team to land on injured reserve this season.
