If losing Game 1 of their series 4-2 to the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night wasn't bad enough, the Kings decided to introduce some salt to the Vancouver Canucks' wound. At least fan base to fan base.

In our latest installment of Great Moments in Team Twitter Accounts (thanks Flames for starting a trend), the Kings' official Twitter account had a message for the majority of Canada when the game went final.

Oh you dogs, you! Nothing like riling up a fan base that is already jacked up like a college student with Red Bull in a cram session. And preying on the Canucks' hatred, especially in Canada? Why, simply brilliant I say.

They didn't stop there, though. No, the Kings were busy doing some taunting during the game too.

That last one was in response to a little scene during the game between Mike Richards and Ryan Kesler where Kesler went flying to the ice to apparently try and draw a penalty. This is a prime example why a lot of fans don't like the Canucks.

I enjoy this. I think it's a lot of fun and funny for me to watch while sitting back. But naturally there are people who are upset, mostly all Canucks fans. It all depends on how you view the role of Twitter accounts. Are they a part of the organization's professional wing or more of a fan outreach? Opinions differ.

I think it's the latter, something that is fun and for the fans. My opinion is they are OK and probably should be fans of their teams on Twitter, they want to generate excitement. Well this generated some excitement on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Thoughts?
