The battle of two college hockey titans Friday night, No. 1 Minnesota Golden Gophers against No. 5 Boston College, was highly anticipated. It lived up to the billing almost immediately as Minnesota got off to an aggressive start.

Hudson Fasching, a Los Angeles Kings prospect and Minnesota freshman forward, scored just 30 seconds into the game by roofing a rebound to make it 1-0. The Gophers came together to celebrate the goal and as most of the players skated to the bench, Fasching and teammate Brady Skjei, a first-round pick of the New York Rangers, couldn't seem to break their embrace. Turns out their helmets were stuck together.

Fasching was quick on his feet, though. He took his helmet off and continued the goal celebration helmetless. Not sure what happened to Skjei, who presumably still had an extra helmet dangling off his own until he got to the bench.

In college hockey, full facemasks are required, so this type of situation is unique to college hockey compared to the NHL and boy are we glad there's video.

The Gophers kept the good start going, scoring once again in the period, but BC came roaring back with three goals in a 1:11 span to take a 3-2 lead. College hockey is fun.
