When Justin Williams ripped a shot into the upper-left corner of the net Saturday night, the puck came out so quickly the referees didn’t think it was in. It was waved off. However, Williams knew it though and so did most of the fans in the building, who were going nuts, including actor Tom Hanks.

As the Kings celebrated and the referees commiserated, Hanks really, really wanted the men in stripes to call in for a review. With his fingers as a telephone, Hanks emphatically motioned to call for the review. The refs did, the goal stood. Tom Hanks would not be denied.

Unfortunately for Hanks and his fellow Kings fans, Mike Cammalleri scored for the Calgary Flames with 23 seconds remaining in regulation to sink LA, 2-1.

This isn't the first time Hanks has drawn attention at a Kings game. He and wife Rita Wilson, who was with him again Saturday, once got caught on the Staples Center Dance Cam. The results were predictably great.
