Dameyune Craig, recently let go at LSU while serving as wide receivers coach, has resurfaced back at Florida State where he was a top recruiter for Jimbo Fisher from 2010-12.

Craig was present at the Seminoles’ first day of spring practice, and the school confirmed to reporters on site he would be on staff as a quality control assistant.

Craig was previosuly a quarterbacks coach for the Seminoles and one of the top recruiters in the country, helping sign Jameis Winston and a number of other top prospects before joining Gus Malzahn at Auburn, where he was a two-year starter at quarterback, as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach in 2013.

Ed Orgeron’s reshuffling of the LSU offensive staff in February put Craig back in the market for a new gig. Since Craig played for Fisher at Auburn and served as a graduate assistant on his offensive staff at LSU, it’s not a huge surprise for him to land in Tallahassee, Florida. Helping out Fisher and the Seminoles will give him work and opportunities to stay around major college football until his next coaching position, which could of course end up being right there at FSU.
