Angels' Albert Pujols: Shut down for season

Pujols (foot) has been shut down for the season, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Pujols and the Angels came to a "mutual decision" that he will not play again in 2016 due to the sore foot he has battled recently. Pujols should be back at 100 percent far in advance of next season, when he will seeking home run No. 600 in his career.
