Gentry (back) is expected to start a rehab assignment Friday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
After a little over a week of participating in baseball activities, Gentry appears to be ready for the next step in his rehab assignment. It's unclear how long the rehab assignment will last, but he could be in position to make a return sometime within the next week or two as long as everything goes as planned.
