Marte was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Although Marte was optioned to Salt Lake earlier in the day, he'll rejoin the team for the time being with Yunel Escobar (hamstring) landing on the disabled list. Marte is slashing .179/.253/.328 through 23 games with the Angels this season, so he likely won't see regular at-bats.
