Jay had his contract selected by the Angels on Thursday.
Jay has been a part of a number of moves for the Angels this season, already coming off and on the 40-man roster once before. He's not in the starting lineup Thursday, but Jay should serve as depth in the outfield, as the team remains without several regulars due to injury. Albert Pujols was designated for assignment to create room on the 40-man roster.
