Hoyt has been dealing with arm and lat soreness, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
The injury has the Astros playing the situation very conservatively. Hoyt has appeared in just one Grapefruit League game this spring, though he's likely to make his second appearance Thursday against the Cardinals. The right-hander is set to begin the season as a middle reliever after impressing in 22 major league appearances last season. Look for him to see more game action as Opening Day approaches.
