Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion left Game 1 of the ALCS on Friday with a ligament sprain in his left middle finger, MLB.com reports.
One media outlet was labeling it a "strain," but the injury that forced Encarnacion from Friday's game is officially a sprain of the ligament in his left middle finger. X-rays showed no break, but Encarnacion's status for Game 2 is up in the air.
