Kratz signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays on Thursday, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.

Katz, who's played for the Astros and Pirates already this season, will head to Triple-A Buffalo. He's struggled mightily at the plate all year, as he's just 8-for-85 (.094) with 32 strikeouts. Kratz was signed to simply add to Toronto's catching depth, so it's unlikely that Kratz will see much, if any, time with the big club this season
