Recker agreed to a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Braves on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The 33-year-old will provide low-cost catching depth for the Braves, perhaps serving as the primary backup to Tyler Flowers to begin 2017. He enjoyed his best offensive season in 2016, batting .278/.394/.433, but he's a .200/.284/.350 career hitter and has never logged more than 189 plate appearances in a season.
