The Braves claimed Roe off waivers from Baltimore on Sunday, Kevin McAlpin of Sports Radio 680 The FAN reports.
Roe will join the Braves' bullpen in Milwaukee on Monday, with a corresponding move likely on the way. The 29-year-old pitched reasonably well in his limited time with Baltimore (3.72 ERA), but his 5.72 FIP suggests otherwise. He did succeed at Triple-A, however, posting a 2.39 ERA at that level while notching 45 strikeouts over 27.2 innings. Control continues to be an issue (10 walks in that span), but perhaps a change of scenery and pitching coaches can help.
