Peterson (hand) has resumed taking batting practice, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
This is a significant development in Peterson's rehab as he works his way back from surgery to remove the hamate bone in his left hand. The Braves will likely wait a few batting practice sessions to see how Peterson's hand responds to the increased activity before deciding on the next step of his rehab process. Peterson slashed .282/.343/.431 with 88 RBI at Double-A last season.
