Newcomb is now scheduled to start Wednesday against the Giants, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Newcomb was originally scheduled to start Thursday's series finale, but he'll have his start pushed up a day to Wednesday after Bartolo Colon (oblique/back) was scratched. The 24-year-old, who has compiled a 2.19 ERA and 1.22 WHIP through two major-league starts (12.1 innings) this season, will look to further solidify himself in the Braves' rotation as he toes the rubber for the third time this season.
