Freeman accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
Freeman appeared seven times this season for the Brewers, and has an ERA of 12.91. He was traded to Milwaukee on April 5, and struggled much of the time he was used. Junior Guerra took Freeman's spot on the roster when he was originally designated for assignment on May 2. Freeman will look to make some crucial adjustments while he plays for Triple-A Colorado Springs.
