Martinez (8-6) allowed one run on four hits and four walks while striking out 11 over five innings to earn the win Saturday at the Brewers.
Martinez threw 103 pitches, leading to his removal after five innings, and the Cardinals' offense gave him plenty of support to help him win his eighth game of the year. Going into this contest, eight was his highest strikeout total of 2016, and he has now fanned 91 batters on the season. He'll make his next start after the All-Star break.
