Cardinals' Randal Grichuk: Receiving individual instruction

Grichuk will start seeing game action at High-A Palm Beach on Sunday, as he has been confined to individual instruction since his arrival on May 29, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.

This is a pretty rare set of circumstances for a fairly established big leaguer, and it speaks to how displeased the Cardinals were in Grichuk's approach at the plate. They are clearly not looking for a quick fix here, and may be committed to keeping him in the minors for an extended period of time, or at least until he can start to show real improvements over the aggressive approach (54:12 K:BB in 46 games) that landed him in Palm Beach.
