The Cardinals designated Tepera for assignment Thursday, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Just three days after signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals, Tepera will now be cast off the 40-man roster and sent through waivers. Tepera allowed two runs across two innings with the club, and he holds a 7.59 ERA and 2.06 WHIP on the season.
