Descalso is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.
Descalso failed to record a hit in Wednesday's win, going 0-for-6 with one strikeout. He will get the day off while Chris Herrmann takes over in left field and Jeremy Hazelbaker makes a start in right. With Yasmany Tomas expected to return by the beginning of July, Descalso's role may start to dissipate, but he remains a reliable piece of the Diamondbacks' arsenal for the time being.
