Tomas has been diagnosed with a strained oblique, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Tomas had been bothered by tightness in his back over the last week, causing him to miss multiple games before undergoing an MRI that revealed the true nature of his pain. This is a tough break for an already banged-up Arizona outfield, and both parties are hoping the injury won't sideline their starting left fielder. However, the 26-year-old hasn't been given a timetable yet and oblique injuries have the tendency to linger, so he should be considered day-to-day until the Diamondbacks note otherwise.
