Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Throws simulated game Tuesday

Ryu (elbow) threw a simulated game Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

There had been some speculation that Ryu could return for the playoffs, but the Dodgers have made it clear that Ryu won't be used for the remainder of the 2016 campaign. However, he is healthy enough for the club to plan for him to be available once the 2017 season comes around.
