Ryu (shoulder) notched a pair of scoreless innings, striking out two in his first rehab start for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Orange County Register reports.
Ryu threw 19 of his 22 pitches for strikes while topping out at 89 mph on the radar gun. Ryu estimated his effort at "60 to 70 percent", so the relatively low velocity is not a concern at this point. He'll likely need several more rehab appearances before joining the Dodgers.
